Inspired by the time I stood below The Winged Victory of Samothrace. She towered above suspended in time being admired by millions of people every year. The original statue was found scattered in pieces on the island of Samothrace in the Aegean Sea. Nobody has information on what happened to her head. I wanted to portray forever beauty. I wanted to communicate the feeling of mysticism and powerful grace. Something that was destroyed to pieces and brought back together. Something so beautiful and serene and alive in a different way.
